8 extract the BINS archive in a directory of your choice.</p><p>You can install BINS either system wide (all users can run it) |
|
|
9 or only for one user. Note that this procedure will replace your old |
|
|
10 programs and templates, so do a backup before running it if you made |
|
|
11 some changes.</p><p>To install BINS system wide, run the |
|
|
12 <span><strong class="command">install.sh</strong></span> script as root. This will install |
|
|
13 program in <code class="filename">/usr/local/bin</code>, internationalization |
|
|
14 files in <code class="filename">/usr/local/share/locale</code> and |
|
|
15 configuration files in <code class="filename">/etc/bins</code>. Note that if |
|
|
16 you want to change configuration for a particular user with this |
|
|
17 install, you just have to copy the content of |
|
|
18 <code class="filename">/etc/bins</code> in <code class="filename">~/.bins</code> and |
|
|
19 you can then personalize BINS configuration for that user by editing |
|
|
20 files in <code class="filename">~/.bins</code>.</p><p>To install BINS for just one user, run the |
|
|
21 <span><strong class="command">install.sh</strong></span> script as this user. This will install |
|
|
22 program in <code class="filename">~/bin</code> and configuration files in |
|
|
23 <code class="filename">~/.bins</code>. Note that internationalization files |
|
|
24 (used to generate non-english albums) will NOT be copied, because |
|
|
25 they have to be installed in |
|
|
